Barbara Faye Troxel, 80, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 3:55 A.M. Monday December 6, 2021, at her home. She was born July 5, 1941, in Brown County, KY, the daughter of Duluth and Ruth (Sexton) Chaney. She married Francis Troxel on August 29, 1958, at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Hoopeston. He preceded her in death on October 15, 2019.
She is survived by three grandsons, Jeremy, Erich, and Tristin.
In addition to husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Lori; one son, Steve; one sister, Linda Evans; and one niece, Shannon Evans.
Faye worked as a meat cutter at A & P and later at County Market in Danville until her retirement. She was a member of the Hoopeston Community Church of the Nazarene where she served the Lord. She enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles with her husband.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday December 21, 2021, at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
