Rodney "Butch" Schroeder, 61, of Milford

Rodney Blaine “Butch” Schroeder, Jr., 61, of Milford, IL, passed away at 2:20 A.M. Monday December 20, 2021, at his home.  He was born July 31, 1960, in Watseka, IL, the son of Rodney Blaine and Betty Mae (Jones) Schroeder Sr.  He married Carol Lynn Calvert Irvin on May 1, 1993, at the Hoopeston Community Church of the Nazarene.  She survives in Milford.   

He is also survived by one daughter, Amy Irvin (Jeremy Bruens) of Milford, IL; four sons, Milton William (Amanda) Irvin Jr. of Maynardville, TN, Joshua Alan Irvin (Danyel Fader) of Milford, IL, Tony Lee (Michelle) Irvin of Milford, IL, and Cody Alan (Sara) McLaughlin of Hazelton, IN; four brothers, Tim (Michelle) Schroeder of Tilton, IL, Danny (Linda) Schroeder of Watseka, IL, Bill (Charlotte) Schroeder of Thomasboro, IL, and Randy (Margo) Schroeder of Milford, IL; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren with 4 more on the way; and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one granddaughter, Tori Jessilyn Irvin. 

Butch was a truck driver working for Schroeder’s and Sons Disposal and later Raven’s Trucking.  He attended the Milford Nazarene Church in Milford, IL.  He enjoyed collecting matchbox cars and Hot Wheels, garbage trucks, and Borden’s milk products.  Butch also enjoyed scraping junk and loved his dog, Sassy aka “Sister”. 

A visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Wednesday December 29, 2021, at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL.  The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday December 29, 2021, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL.
