Glen Tweedy, 89, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 3:54 P.M. Monday December 20, 2021, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born November 10, 1932, in Hoopeston, IL, the son of William G. and Bonnie (Oliver) Tweedy.
He is survived by one son, Brian (Mandy) Tweedy of Albuquerque, NM; one brother, Dale Tweedy (Erma Jackson) of Hoopeston, IL; and one grandson, Cash Tweedy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Wilma DuChette, Ruth McCormick and infant sister, Bonnie Marie Tweedy; and three brothers, Bill Tweedy, Jr., Marion Tweedy, and Donald Tweedy.
Glen grew up on the farm. He then served in the United States Army from 1954 - 1956, serving in Germany. After the service, he became a truck driver, driving for Rodgers Cartage for over 30 years. Glen enjoyed drinking coffee with his friends at McDonald’s.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday January 4, 2022, at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL.
