Felix Morgan, 102, of Hoopeston, IL, formerly of rural Rossville, IL, passed away at 1:35 A.M. Sunday January 30, 2022, at his home. He was born December 23, 1919, in Casey County, KY, the son of Samuel and Fannie (Fermon) Morgan. He married Louise Tharp on September 19, 1942, in Gilpin, KY, and they celebrated 79 years of marriage before her passing on September 29, 2021.
He is survived by one daughter, Brenda (Gary) Weinard of Hoopeston, IL; one son, Terry (Barbara) Morgan of Hoopeston, IL; five grandchildren, Kevin (Rhonda) Weinard, Brian Weinard, Matthew (Gina) Morgan, Lea Morgan, and Quentin (Mary) Morgan; eleven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a special caretaker, Margaret.
Felix was a lifelong farmer, farming for over 75 years. He was a member of the Rossville Church of Christ. He enjoyed working in his shop, making knives, and spending time with his family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday February 8, 2022, at Rossville Cemetery in Rossville, IL with Pastor Kevin Purdy officiating.
