Gloria M. Crippin, 62, of Danville

Gloria M. Crippin, 62, of Danville, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022, at home.

Gloria was born on February 27, 1959, in Danville, the daughter of Charles David and Mary Evelyn (Watson) Mockbee II.  She previously married Ricky Crippin in 1976.  He survives.

She is survived by one daughter- Jennifer Echevarria of Danville; one son- Jason Crippin of Waynetown, Indiana; six grandchildren- Colin Crippin, Brandon (Lauren Brademas) Grabhorn, Emma Lacombe and Ricky Echevarria; one brother- Ronald Mockbee of Danville; one sister- Janice Gauf of Danville; sister-in-law- Peggy Mockbee of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son-Joshua Crippin, brother- Charles Mockbee III and sister-in-law- Janet Mockbee.

Gloria graduated from Bismarck-Henning High School.  She worked for over 40 years, at OSF/Lakeview Hospital, in Danville, in the dietary department.  She enjoyed walking, playing the lotto, collecting dragonflies and spending time with her grandchildren and dog-Chewie.

A Celebration of Gloria’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service in Potomac Cemetery.  Memorials may be made in Gloria’s name to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Gloria’s life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
