Judith Ann “Judy” Longfellow, 67, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 8:52 A.M. Tuesday April 26, 2022, at her home.  She was born January 17, 1955, in Hoopeston, IL, the daughter of Robert and Betty (Harris) Hurt.  She married Larry Allen Longfellow on June 12, 1972, in Hoopeston.  He preceded her in death. 

She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca (Josh) Simonton of Hoopeston, IL; two sons, Jason Longfellow (Dawn Davis) of Hoopeston, IL, and Matthew (Kimberly) Longfellow of Hoopeston, IL; three sisters, Barbara Lee Hurt of Sheldon, IL, Susan Marie (Kenneth) Everhart of Pekin, IN, and Debra Ann (Brian) Brough of Pekin, IN; two brothers, James Wade Hurt of Sheldon, IL and Charles Timothy Hurt of Watseka, IL; eight grandchildren, Michael Hagele, Madalyn Longfellow, Breana Barber, Dustin Longfellow, Corey Longfellow, Kaylee Longfellow, Cassandra Simonton, and Jonathan Simonton; and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Crystal Longfellow; two step-sisters, Nina and Marie; and two half-brothers, Richard and Dale. 

Judy worked at Howards and Casey’s in Milford.  She then worked at Walmart and Casey’s in Watseka.  She later worked at Rantoul Products and most recently at Danville Metal Stamping.  Judy loved to can, make floral arrangements, play her farming game, and most of all, spend time with her family.   

A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:30 A.M. Wednesday May 4, 2022, at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL.  The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Adam Taubert officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
