Sally Jo Keith, 81, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 10:30 A.M. Thursday May 5, 2022, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL. She was born September 11, 1940, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Robert and Dode (Hanson) Galloway. She married Robert Wayne Keith on January 1, 1960, at the Hoopeston United Methodist Church. He survives in Hoopeston.
She is also survived by one son, Todd (Lori) Keith of Rossville, IL; one brother, Bob (Cookie) Galloway of Hoopeston, IL; one grandson, Hunter Keith; and four nieces and nephews, Terina Bruening, Carrie Novello, Abbie Paul, and Bobby Galloway.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Synde; and one sister, Linda Forshier.
Sally worked as a legal secretary at Moore, Nelson & Stipp for 44 years. She was a member of the Hoopeston United Methodist Church. She served as a board member for the Charlotte Ann Russell Foundation and the Hoopeston Public Library. Sally enjoyed golfing, flower gardening, and playing Bridge. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and watching any sport her grandson participated in.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated. A visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Monday May 16, 2022, at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The memorial service will follow the visitation and will begin at 12:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Milton officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
