Pauline Kathryn LeFever, 98, of Penfield

Pauline Kathryn LeFever, 98, of Penfield, passed away at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at her longtime farm home.

Pauline was born on November 13, 1923, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Walter S. and Carrie A. (Gosser) Parrish.  She married Francis LeFever on July 2, 1944, at the Hope United Church of Christ.  He preceded her in death on May 6, 2004.

She is survived by one daughter- Rita Armes of Armstrong, Illinois; one son- Francis (Juliet) LeFever Jr. of Elgin, Illinois; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers- Robert and Walter Parrish.

Pauline graduated from Armstrong High School, in 1944.  She worked at Heinemann’s Bakery, in the Chicago area, for 11 years, until she retired in 1983.  She was a member of the Hope United Church of Christ.  Pauline was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star and a Worthy Matron.  She also served as an election judge for Kerr Township, for several years and was a Girl Scout Leader for 13 years, in Freemont, California.  She enjoyed reading, gardening and loved animals.

A Celebration of Pauline’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service at Stearns Cemetery, in Fithian.  Memorials may be made to the family.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac.  Condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
