Terry Ray Misner, 61, of Rossville, IL, passed away at 12:48 A.M. Wednesday May 11, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born June 28, 1960, in El Paso, TX, the son of John Misner and Joanne Hamilton Bruner. His father survives in Carnation, WA along with is stepmother, Sunnihilt “Sunni” Misner. He married Deanna Lynn Gonzalez on April 2, 1983, at the Rossville United Methodist Church. She survives in Rossville.
He is also survived by his son, Tyler Bennett Misner of Rossville, IL; one brother, Victor Misner of Sadorus, IL; two step-sisters, Kristen (Daniel) Robinson of Carnation, WA and Susan Hibbard of Goffstown, NH; one sister-in-law, Gail Jones of Madera, CA; one brother-in-law, Dennis Gonzalez of Rossville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; two brothers, Jeff Misner and Daryl Bruner; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Arthur and Bonnie Gonzalez; and two brothers-in-law, Chapman Jr. Jones and Dana Gonzalez.
Terry worked at Flex-N-Gate in Covington, IN. He retired from the United States Air Force on January 31, 1999, after 20 years of service. His hobbies included woodworking, golfing, and collecting baseball cards. Terry was also an avid movie buff.
A visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday May 17, 2022, at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday May 17, 2022, at Mann’s Chapel in rural Rossville, with Pastor Gary Milton officiating.
