Eric Steven Lewis, 49, of Columbus, IN, formerly of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 5:31 P.M. Tuesday July 5, 2022, at his home. He was born September 7, 1972, in Danville, IL, the son of Steven F. and Sandra Lee (Bloyd) Lewis. They survive in Hoopeston, IL.
He is also survived by one daughter, Alivia (Tyler) Hanson of Madison, IN; two sons, Tyler and Luke Lewis of Columbus, IN; one brother, Aaron (Ashlee) Lewis of Hoopeston, IL; one granddaughter, Adaline Hanson; his paternal grandmother, Lou Lewis of Hoopeston, IL; and four nieces and nephews, Allee, Addison, Alex, and Axton Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Elmer Lewis; his maternal grandparents, Glen and Margaret Bloyd; and one brother, Cory Lewis.
Eric worked at Overhead Door in Columbus, IN, and later worked as an assembler at the Honda plant. He most recently worked for Integrity Door in Columbus. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Kevin Harvick, and was a Denver Broncos fan.
A visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday July 12, 2022, at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, with William Michael Bloyd officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL.
