Scott David Peterson, 57, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 9:02 A.M. Thursday October 6, 2022, at his home. He was born February 13, 1965, in Monroe, LA, the son of (Ret.) Col. Jerry D. and Karen (Ross) Peterson. They survive in Niceville, FL. He married Casey McAllister on March 16, 2018, in Danville, IL and she survives in Hoopeston, IL.
He is also survived by five daughters, Crystal and Natasha Peterson of Glossop, UK, Samantha and Bailey Konow of Hoopeston, IL, and Cloé Peterson of Hoopeston, IL; one son, Cole Peterson of Hoopeston, IL; two sisters, Wendy Peterson of Niceville, FL and Jenny (Paul) Houghtaling of Erie, CO; one granddaughter, Makenna Strawser of Hoopeston, IL; and one niece, Abby Houghtaling of Erie, CO.
Scott most recently worked at KIK in Danville as a line mechanic. He served four years in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed going to garage sales, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, swimming, and spending time at the beach. He also enjoyed hanging out with family and friends.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held with family in Florida at a later date.
