Bonnie Kay Moore, 65, of Hoopeston

Bonnie Kay Moore, 65, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at her home on Sunday October 23, 2022. She was born August 27, 1957, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Robert and Dovie May (Cross) Irvin. She married Richard Allen Moore in Quincy, IL, in April 1981. He survives in Hoopeston. 

She is also survived by 7 daughters, Tonya (BJ) Edwards of Hoopeston, IL, Angie (Tom) Fugate of Rantoul, IL, Myrna Moore of Hoopeston, IL, Carrie (Nathan) Konieczki of Danville, IL, Vickie (Floyd) William of Houston, TX, Sherri (Leonard) Yazzie of Saginaw, TX, and Lori Nelson of Hoopeston, IL; three sisters, Sheila Hardwick, Elaine (Todd) Crose, and Donna (Paul) Strawser; one brother, Nathan (Kelly) Irvin; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father; two brothers, Robert Irvin and Milton Irvin; and her grandparents. 

Bonnie worked in dietary. She then worked at Bell Helmet until her retirement and later in housekeeping at Hoopeston Hospital. Her hobbies included camping and knitting, and she liked Mickey Mouse, Betty Boop, and Elvis. 

Per her wishes, she will be cremated. A visitation will be held 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. Thursday October 27, 2022, at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. A private burial will be held at a later date. 

Memorials may be made to the Hoopeston Multi Agency, 206 S. First St., Hoopeston, IL 60942 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
