Kenneth Parker, Jr., 84, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 2:33 A.M. Tuesday October 25, 2022, at Arcadia Care in Danville, IL. He was born September 3, 1938, in Hoopeston, IL, the son of Kenneth Parker Sr. and Dorothy (Devore) Parker.
He is survived by one daughter, Lori Parker of Kankakee, IL; one son, Scott Parker of Braidwood, IL; two sisters, Judy Boucher of FL and Mary Ford of Hoopeston, IL; one brother, Jim (Connie) Staton of Hoopeston, IL; one sister-in-law, Coleen Parker of FL; 2 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Parker; and one brother-in-law, Larry Boucher.
Kenneth worked as a self-employed roofer and later owned his own restaurant, Parker’s BBQ Pit in Florida. He attended the First Church of God in Hoopeston. He enjoyed making Indian jewelry, fishing, and cooking.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday November 1, 2022, at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL, with Pastor Carlos Sanchez officiating. No burial will be held.
