Linda Louise Carlson, 74, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 8:03 A.M. Thursday November 10, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born March 22, 1948, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Raymond “Bud” and Lula (Phillips) Stephens. She married Bruce Carlson on May 12, 1979, at the First Presbyterian Church in Hoopeston. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2015.  

She is survived by three daughters, Tammy (Jon) Roberts of California, MO, Angie (Rickie) Cade of Ambia, IN, and Melissa (Joel) Bird of Hoopeston, IL; one son, Ryan Carlson of Hoopeston, IL; one brother, John (Rebecca) Stephens of Ambia, IN; 10 grandchildren, Tanner (Victor) Brancato, Meagan (Andrew) Colunga, Renee Roberts (fiancé, Tyler Elliott), Chase Cade (Kaeli King), Trinity Palomo, Michael Carlson, Raymond Carlson, Zayden Carlson, Kyrin Alkire, and Roan Wilson; 7 great-grandchildren, Amina, Ailee, Olivia, Charlie, Roselynn, Oakley, and Aalya; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two special friends, Debbie Green and Beth Rohrbach. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Marcia Quinn; one brother, Charles Stephens; and one grandson, Addison Colunga. 

Linda worked as a private sitter at the Hoopeston Nursing Home and later as a Registered Nurse at the VA Medical Center in Danville, until her retirement. She attended New Beginnings Church in Hoopeston. She enjoyed shopping, having coffee with her friends, and most of all, spending time with her family.  

A visitation will be held 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Tuesday November 15, 2022, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
