Lorie Lynn Lowe, 54, of Plainfield, IN, passed away at 11:38 A.M. Sunday February 19, 2023, at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, IN. She was born December 18, 1968, in Hoopeston, IL, the daughter of Jim Epley and Karen (Custer) Brotherton. She married John Lowe on July 24, 1993, at the Rankin United Methodist Church in Rankin, IL. He survives in Plainfield, IN.
She is also survived by her mother, Karen Brotherton of Rantoul, IL; two daughters, Aubrey and Ashley Lowe of Plainfield, IN; one brother, Troy (Traci) Epley of Hoopeston, IL; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Patricia Lowe of Hoopeston, IL.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Epley and her stepfather, Marion “Cliff” Brotherton.
Lorie worked in retail at various stores including Fannie Mae, Beasley’s Orchard, and later, Wal-Mart. She enjoyed making crafts, crocheting afghans, and getting ideas from Pinterest. She also enjoyed playing euchre with her family and spending time with her dogs, Luna, Nash, and Emma.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated. A visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. CST Wednesday March 1, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. No burial will be held.
