Karol Sue West, 58, of Rossville, IL, passed away at 6:39 P.M. Wednesday February 22, 2023, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born August 2, 1964, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Howard F. and Clarrice Faye (Irvin) Cox. She married Kenneth West on December 16, 1989, in Rossville. He survives in Rossville.
She is also survived by one step daughter, Candace (Mickey) West Ross of Westville, IL; one stepson, Kevin West of Danville, IL; three sisters, Judith Cox of Olney, IL, Ora Dockery of Hoopeston, IL, and Phyllis Cox (Guadalupe Cordova, Jr.) of Hoopeston, IL; two brothers, Vaughn (Juanita) Cox of Donna, TX and Howard (Delores) Cox of Blountsville, TN; 6 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Karol worked at Schumacher Electric. She then worked at Central States Distribution and later at AutoZone. She enjoyed caring for her cats, dogs, and other pets. She also enjoyed watching television, camping, and taking day trips with her husband.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a visitation will be held 12:00 P.M. – 1:30 P.M. Thursday March 2, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
