Connie L. Butzow, 70, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 9:43 P.M. Monday April 17, 2023, at Gardenview Manor in Danville, IL. She was born December 27, 1952, in Paxton, IL, the daughter of Marvin Grohler and Myra (Blanck) Grohler. She married William Butzow on December 29, 1990, at the First Christian Church in Watseka, IL.
She is survived by her mother, Myra Grohler of Buckley, IL; two sons, Jase Houser (Amy Roberts) of Clintonville, WI and Travis (Jessica) Houser of Alexandria, TN; two brothers; one sister; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Grohler; husband, William Butzow; three sisters; one sister-in-law; one brother-in-law; and one grandson, Sebastian Houser.
Connie worked as an invoice clerk at Walmart for over 26 years before retiring in 2016. She was President of the VFW Auxiliary Post #4826 for ten years and was a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Hoopeston. She and her husband were instrumental in raising llamas and introducing them to the youth in the 4-H Community.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday April 29, 2023, at the VFW, 428 W. Orange St. Hoopeston, IL. No burial will be held.
