Ellen Sue Bell, 82, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 4:55 A.M. Sunday April 30, 2023, at her home. She was born December 18, 1940, in Westville, IL, the daughter of Froble and Della (Hamilton) High. She married Larry L. Bell, Sr., on July 11, 1958, in Somerset, KY. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Larry (Garnet) Bell of Corpus Christi, TX and Bobby Chuck (Lisa) Bell of Ambia, IN; one daughter, Amber (Jeff) Deck of Hoopeston, IL; nine grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Barb and Della Bell; one grandson, Brock Pennington; and two sisters, Barbara Hamilton and Deloris McDaniel.

Ellen was a homemaker. She enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She collected coffee cups and always enjoyed drinking a cup of coffee and smoking a cigarette.

Cremation rites will be accorded, and a private graveside service will be held.
