Kenneth Wallis “Wizard” Wisdom, Sr., 65, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 3:24 P.M. Saturday April 29, 2023, at his home. He was born May 1, 1957, in Danville, IL, the son of Wallis and Betty (Field) Wisdom. His mother survives in Hoopeston. He married Christine Stearn on August 17, 1991, in Hoopeston and she survives in Hoopeston.
He is also survived by three daughters, Sarah Wisdom of Jacksonville, FL, Amanda (Steven) Bowman of Paxton, IL, and Rachel Wisdom of Hoopeston, IL; two sons, Kenneth (Andrea) Wisdom, Jr. of Rantoul, IL and Elijah Wisdom of Hoopeston, IL; two sisters, Sharon (Andrew) Delashmit of Oceanside, CA and Kathy (Brad) Cox of Hoopeston, IL; one brother, Steve (Robin) Wisdom of Mesquite, TX; and four grandchildren, Radley, Ruxin, Rory, and Ripley Bowman; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wallis Wisdom and one brother, Jeffrey Scott Wisdom.
Kenneth was an owner operator semi-truck driver for over forty-seven years until his retirement. He was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ in rural Rossville. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed playing cards and checkers and shooting with his sons.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and a service will be held at a later date.
