Lisa Ann LaBounty, 59, of Cissna Park, IL, passed away at 2:35 A.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka, IL. She was born May 9, 1963, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Donald K. and Helen Eileen (Murphy) LaBounty.
She is survived by one sister, Diane Goin of Hoopeston, IL; six nieces and nephews, Tami Goin of Hoopeston, IL, Cara Goin of Rantoul, IL, Laura (Tim) Garrison of Rantoul, IL, David LaBounty of Hume, IL, Brenden and Mathew; one great-niece, Jessy Garrison; and one great-nephew, Jayce Garrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Rhonda LaBounty; one brother, David LaBounty; one brother-in-law, Gary Goin; and her grandparents, Laura and Lee Murphy and Lyda and William James LaBounty.
Lisa worked at WorkSource in Danville. She enjoyed bowling, participating in the Special Olympics, and performing in plays with her theater group. She was also in the movie production, Dr. Seuss- Someone Stole My Hoo-Too-Foo-Too-Boo-To-Bah!, which premiered at the Art Theater in Champaign, IL. There was a special book written about Lisa called, Lisa a Rosebud Forever, which was written by her mother and illustrated by her sister.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday May 9, 2023, at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston with Pastor Kathy Murphy officiating.
