Terry Allan “T.A.” Edwards, 80, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 9:45 A.M. Thursday August 1, 2024, at his home. He was born August 30, 1943, in Danville, IL, the son of Albert Edwin and Lena May (Staton) Edwards.
He is survived by two daughters, Carol Elaine “Lainey” (Paul) Schlunt of Oceanside, CA and Tamorah Lynn “Tammy” (Carroll) Jerome of Hoopeston, IL; two sons, Terry Allan “Stormy” Edwards II of Maui, HI and Jeremiah Edwards of Seattle, WA; three sisters, Carolyn Kay Hampton of Hoopeston, IL, Cheryl Lynn (Larry) Stephen of Hoopeston, IL, and Wendy Lou Edwards (Andy Fink) of Hoopeston, IL; one brother, Thomas Joseph Edwards of Hoopeston, IL; two sisters-in-law, Sheila Edwards and Diana Edwards both of Hoopeston, IL; seven grandchildren, Terry A. Edwards III, Lena Grace Edwards, Allison (Chris) Mandalakis, Emily Peters, Katie Edwards, Joseph Edwards, and Lilly Mae Jerome; two great-grandchildren, Rebecca Peters and Noah Ramos; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joshua Edwards; sister, Sandra Drullinger; two brothers, Eddie Edwards and James Edwards; and two brothers-in-law, Paul Drullinger and Richard “Dick” Hampton.
Terry was a roofer for Local 97. He served in the United States Air Force from 1961 – 1965. He loved to go fishing and hunting for mushrooms, asparagus, and Indian beads.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday August 10, 2024, at the Hoopeston Girl Scout House in McFerren Park. A private burial will be held.
