Charlotte Ann McBride, 83, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 8:46 A.M., Thursday, August 1, 2024 at her home. She was born May 2, 1941, the daughter of Chester and Florence (Barker) McCalla. She married Donald G. McBride Jr. on November 17, 1962 in Moncks Corner, SC, while Don was in the Navy. He survives in Hoopeston.
She is survived by one sister, Victoria McCalla of TX; three grandchildren, Lindsey Crose (Dustin Ammann), Jordan (Sadie) Crose, and Laney Runge; four great grandchildren, Nash, Jude, Mia, and Otto, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Misti Runge.
Charlotte attended the Christian Church. She was a waitress at her father’s restaurant. In her younger days, she enjoyed crocheting afghans for her grandchildren. Charlotte also enjoyed taking golf cart rides with her husband and spending time with her family.
A visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and begin at 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
