Tammy Michele Lewis, 59, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 8:36 P.M. Monday, August 26, 2024, at her home. She was born November 6, 1964, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Jerry and Carolyn (Clements) Clayburn. She married Douglas Lewis on December 16, 2011. He survives in Hoopeston.
She is also survived by her father, Jerry Clayburn of Hoopeston, IL; daughter, Summer (Tony) Badger of Covington, IN; son, PJ Bailey of Hoopeston, IL; two step-children, Alisha (Justin) Cox of Terre Haute, IN and Justin Lewis of Indiana; and eight grandchildren, Kaydence, Carter, Kinzley, Kambrey, and Kaizley Bailey, Lyla, Bentley, and Charleigh Badger, Kingston Jennings, Axel Lewis, Gabe Vaughn, and Ava Cox.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Clayburn.
Tammy worked at Howard Industries and then at Eagle Wings Industries. She later cleaned houses for several years. She always kept herself busy as she enjoyed working, especially outdoors. Most of all, Tammy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Private family services will be held.
