Karla Marie Phillips, 63, of Danville, IL, passed away at 2:33 P.M. Thursday September 12, 2024, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL. She was born December 7, 1960, in Danville, IL, and was raised by her grandparents, Cornelius and Glennadine Leach. She married Lawrence Phillips on May 10, 1991, in Danville. He survives in Danville.
She is also survived by two daughters, Crystal Collom-Weekley of Tilton, IL and Hayley Collom (Jin Mebane) of Georgetown, IL; one son, Roy Ricketts (Lisa Sexton) of Hoopeston, IL; three sisters, Shannon, Misty, and Trisha; three brothers, Gary, Travis, and Larry; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Candy Collom, her grandparents, and her parents.
Karla was a homemaker. She enjoyed making crafts, drawing, playing computer games, going horseback riding, and fishing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday September 20, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Park, 3901 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL.
