Perfecta Guajardo Solis, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Hoopeston, Illinois on Monday, December 2, 2024. She was born on April 18, 1935, to Francisco and Carmen Gonzalez Guajardo in Edcouch, Texas. She was a homemaker, retired from Howard Industries. She enjoyed sewing, singing, scratch off tickets, writing poems, sketch drawing and spending time with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Maurilio Castaneda Solis, daughter Andrea Guajardo, grandsons Jordan and Kristopher Guajardo Mickell, siblings, Jose Inez, Tomasa de Felipe Rodrigues, Martina Diaz, Antonio de Jesus Guajardo. She is survived by her children Maria (Joseph) Smith, Santiago Solis of Hoopeston, Santos Guajardo, Henning, Martina (Ray) Morgan of Bountiful, Utah, her sister Maria Reves of Weslaco, Texas. Her grandchildren, Olivia (Kendall) Walder, Ethan Smith, Cree (Bethsa) Morgan, Ammon, Miliani de Maleko Morgan, Andrew Guajardo Mickell, and great-grandchildren True Silas, Maurilio Morgan and Quentin de Koleman Walder.  According to her wishes cremation rites will be arranged and a burial will be held at a later date in Floral Hill Cemetery.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home, in Hoopeston to assist them in honoring her life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
