Carole A. Ingram, 79, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 9:16 P.M. Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton on Pells in Paxton, IL. She was born April 24, 1945, in Hoopeston, IL, the daughter of Iverson and Dorothy (Obenland) Whiteman. She married James David Ingram on October 19, 1974, at the First Church of God in Hoopeston. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, David (Christina) Ingram of Hoopeston, IL and Richard Ingram; three sisters, Shirley (Harold) Darnall, Donna Ferguson, and Elizabeth Abaño; two brothers, Iverson “Doc” (Pam) Whiteman and Thomas (Julie) Whiteman; and two sisters-in-law, Teresa Whiteman and Clara Anna Whiteman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, James, Carole was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Juanita Ferguson, Marjorie Elsey, and infant sister, Mary; three brothers, Kenneth, Donnie, and Charles “Chuck” Whiteman and brother-in-law, Gary Ferguson.
Carole was a homemaker, caring for her family. She was a member of the First Church of God in Hoopeston. She enjoyed sewing and watching soap operas.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and burial will be held at a later date.
