Nancy Ann Brown, 75, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 8:28 A.M. Friday, January 3, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born August 21, 1949, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Alexander and Phyllis (Wagoner) Lane. She married Franklin Brown on January 20, 1968, at the Antioch Church of Christ in rural Rossville. He survives in Hoopeston.
She is also survived by two sons, Charlie (Heather) Brown of Elwood, IN and Mark (Lori) Brown of Gibson City, IL; two sisters, Debbie (Richard) Swartz of Hoopeston, IL and Toni Anderson of Hoopeston, IL; one brother, Randy (Gail) Lane of Hoopeston, IL; four grandchildren, Kyle, Jordan, Ryan, and Lindsay; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend Lisa Kinney and her husband, Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law.
Nancy worked at Schumacher Electric and was a daycare provider. She also cared for her family as a homemaker. She was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ in rural Rossville. Nancy enjoyed doing word searches, watching soap operas, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The memorial service will follow the visitation and will begin at 1:00 P.M. Thursday January 16, at the funeral home with Pastor Earl Eells officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
