Jeffrey Dale "Jethro" Gudeman, 68, of Wellington

Jeffrey Dale “Jethro” Gudeman, 68, of Wellington, IL, passed away at 2:00 P.M. Friday January 24, 2025, at OSF in Urbana, IL. He was born May 29, 1956, in Watseka, IL, the son of Wilbert and Anna (Schupbach) Gudeman. He married the love of his life, Rena Dale, on June 7, 2007, in Watseka, IL. She survives in Wellington, IL.

He is also survived by two stepsons, Stevie (Samantha) Bruens of Wellington, IL and Billy (Ashley) Bruens of Wellington, IL; two sisters, Velma Bird of Bloomington, IL and Alice (Leonard) McKean of Cissna Park, IL; four brothers, Victor (Carin) Gudeman of Bloomington, IL, Roger (Marcia) Gudeman of Myrtle Beach, SC, Marvin (DiAnna) Gudeman of Bloomington, IL, and Harry (Linda) Gudeman of Lafayette, IN; 8 grandchildren, Rylee (Alyssa) Bruens, Leevi Bruens (Porchea Demers), Karlee Bruens (Jasmin Hajjar), Natalee (Lucas) Dart, and Emmalee, Bentley, Conlee, and Dailee Bruens; five nieces; six nephews, and twenty great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Jeff worked as a bricklayer in Bloomington. He then worked at FMC in Hoopeston and later at Goodwine Co-op. He most recently worked for FS in Wellington until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Cissna Park American Legion Post 527, where he enjoyed helping at Old Settlers. Jeff enjoyed life to the fullest and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed camping and vacationing with family and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Cremation rites will be accorded.
