Raiven Coleen Vanier, 28, of Bismark, IL, formerly of Hoopeston, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025. She was born October 16, 1996, at Lakeview Hospital in Danville, IL, the daughter of Jason Vanier and Loretta Spencer. They survive.
Raiven grew up in Hoopeston and graduated from Hoopeston high. In 2015, she met her fiancé, Dominick Key and together they had a daughter, Dehlilah Key. Raiven also had what she liked to call her "bonus" girls, Alaina and Hayleigh Key and Peyton Davis. They survive. She is also survived by one sister, Ellen Schulte; two brothers, Anthony and Andrew Spencer-Foster; and paternal grandparents, Jack and Sarah Miller.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Roberta Spencer.
Raiven was a stay-at-home mom, caring for her family. She enjoyed tattooing, shooting guns, fishing and traveling to new places. She especially loved her family and was always trying new ways to add a smile to their faces. She and her dad started going to Cubs games when she was 8 and it continued and included Dehlilah when she was born. Raiven deeply loved and cared for her family and everyone in her life.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A visitation will be held 10:00 am - 12 pm Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St, Hoopeston, IL. Memorial service will follow the visitation at noon and a mass service will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 423 S. Third St., Hoopeston, at 1 pm. Burial will be at a later date.
