Deanna Lynn “Dee” Misner, 61, of Rossville, IL, passed away at 1:31 P.M. Friday March 7, 2025, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born August 28, 1963, at Lakeview Hospital in Danville, IL, the daughter of Arthur Lee and Bonnie Lou (Bennett) Gonzalez. She married Terry Ray Misner on April 2, 1983, at the Rossville United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2022.
She is survived by her son, Tyler Bennett Misner of Rossville, IL; one sister, Gail C. Jones of Madera, CA; and five nieces and nephews, Johnny Bray, Emily Elizabeth (Ben) Catron, Rachel Alana Gonzalez, Kendra Jade (John) Keenan, and Reagan Lee Gonzalez.
In addition to her husband, Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Lee and Bonnie Gonzalez; her twin brother, Dana Wayne Gonzalez; her older brother, Dennis Lee Gonzalez; and her brother-in-law, Chapman Jr. Jones.
Dee graduated from Rossville -Alvin High School in the Class of 1981. She loved her school and enjoyed attending the sporting events held there. She devoted the past twenty-six years to Rossville – Alvin School where she was the Custodian and Transportation Director. She loved putting together jigsaw puzzles and reading. Dee also loved watching any kind of sports on television and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 14, 2025, at Mann’s Chapel Cemetery in rural Rossville, IL, with Pastor Gary Milton officiating.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Dee to Rossville-Alvin Grade School, 350 N. Chicago St., Rossville, IL 60963.
