Patricia Ann Gaffney, 71, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 6:46 P.M. Thursday March 6, 2025, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL. She was born July 15, 1953, in Woodbury, TN, the daughter of James and Nola (McGregor) Lemmons. She married Eric S. Gaffney on November 27, 1993, in Rossville. He survives in Hoopeston, IL.
She is also survived by three sisters, Glenda Wisniewski of Florence, SC, Wanda (Henry) Dowers of Westville, IL, and Sandra Lemmons of Huntington, IN; two brothers, James “Larry” Lemmons of St. Louis, MO, and Tony Lemmons of Fort Worth, TX; her in-laws, Joe and Teri Gaffney of Hoopeston, IL; brother-in-law, Jeff Gaffney; and six nieces and nephews, Ian Gaffney, Zack Gaffney, Hannah Thrasher, Lacie Maxfield, Lexy Chilcott, and Lindzy Lemmons.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Michael “Mikey” Lemmons.
Patricia worked at ESCO and later, USF Holland as a dispatcher until her retirement. She was a member of the Teamsters #26. She loved riding motorcycles with her husband and was a member of the State Line Riders. Patricia had many hobbies which included golfing, watching Illini football, cooking, canning, and tending to her gardens. She also enjoyed taking Jeep rides with her friends, exploring new restaurants, “Girls Day Out” on New Year’s Day, attending family gatherings, and Saturday game nights during Covid.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated, and a private memorial service will be held.
