Robert W. “Bob” Clark, 81, of rural Rankin, IL, passed away at 1:10 A.M. Monday, March 10, 2025, at Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center surrounded by his family. He was born October 30, 1943, in Decatur, IL, the son of Clarence R. and Myrtle Mae (Levi) Clark. He married Judith A. Magee on January 20, 1963, at the East Lynn United Methodist Church. She survives in rural Rankin, IL.
He is also survived by four daughters, Pam (Pat) Jolliff of Stillwater, OK, Kim Riedel of Springfield, IL, Brenda (Sandy) Herman of rural Rankin, IL, and Jen (Jeremy) Gaddis of rural Rankin, IL; two brothers, Donald E. Clark of Sequim, WA and Richard (Mary) Clark of Westville, IL; twelve grandchildren, Ben Jolliff, Zach (Desa) Jolliff, and Nathan (Madison) Jolliff, Brooke and Emily Lantz, Daniel Riedel, Allison (Nick) Ravens, Madison (Zach) Drollinger, Wyatt Herman, and Brady, Cole, and Gracyn Gaddis; eight great-grandchildren, Meredith, Remi, Boone, Conrad, Weston, Hallie, Oaklee, and Larry; two nieces, Sandra and Laura; and four nephews, Jeff, Josh, Chad, and Mark.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Myrtle Clark; son-in -law, Dennis Riedel; one niece, Heather Hoel; and one nephew, Dan Magee.
Bob was a life-long farmer, carrying on the family farm, raising cattle and farming from 1961 until his retirement in 2012. He was a member of the Hoopeston United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Shriners and the Hoopeston Masonic Star Lodge #709. In his younger years, Bob enjoyed boating and waterskiing with his family. During the winter months, he and his wife, Judy, enjoyed traveling to Destin, FL, for many years. He loved his family and enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities. He also enjoyed watching the Illini and drinking coffee at Casey’s in Rankin with his friends.
A visitation will be held 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 14, 2025, at the funeral home with Pastor Micah Mobley officiating. Burial will follow in East Lynn Cemetery in East Lynn, IL.
