Betty Marie Barron, 67, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 8:36 A.M. Monday, May 26, 2025, at her home. She was born November 15, 1957, in Danville, IL, the daughter of James and Maxine (Tippy) Hyde. They preceded her in death at a young age, and she was later raised by her sister, Barb “Pee Wee” (Frank) Irvin.
Betty married Val D. Barron on May 10, 2014, at the Cheneyville church. He survives in Hoopeston.
She is also survived by one son, Derek Hyde (Shelly Hackman) of Danville, Il; two grandchildren, Audri (Ben) Blake and Alyssa Hyde; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Blake; and nieces and nephews, Jason (Chase) Irvin, Ron Irvin, Darrell & Lisa Irvin, Frankie Irvin, and Holly Irvin.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Barb “Pee Wee” and Frank Irvin; and one nephew, Earl Irvin.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and a burial will be held at a later date.
