Larry Carl Kaufman, 81, of Hoopeston, IL, formerly of rural Rankin, IL, passed away at 3:58 P.M. Monday May 26, 2025, at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Living in Hoopeston. He was born January 25, 1944, in Watseka, IL, the son of Carl A. and Barbara (Bowlby) Kaufman. He married Sandra Bolin on June 5, 1965, at the Rankin United Methodist Church. She survives in Hoopeston.
He is also survived by one daughter, Jennifer (Rick) Young of Cropsey, IL; two sons, Michael (Shelley) Kaufman of Noblesville, IN and Eric Kaufman of Hoopeston, IL; one sister, Carol (Andy) Robison of Champaign, IL; one brother, Wayne Kaufman of Rankin, IL; two grandsons, Lucas Karl Schultz and Mitchel Robert Schultz; one niece, Sheri Kaufman; one great-niece, Shayla (Jason) Burton; two great-great-nieces, Braelyn and Acelyn Burton; and one great-great-nephew, Corbin Burton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry was a lifelong farmer. He was also a bulk milk hauler for 43 years and helped at Fountain Creek Township. He was a member of the Christian Bible Church where he served as a Deacon. Larry enjoyed reading his Bible, visiting with friends new and old, and tinkering around the farm. He is at home with his Lord and Savior where he has looked forward to being his whole Christian life.
A visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Christian Bible Church, 1200 E. 200 North Road, Cissna Park, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 12:00 P.M. Friday at the church with Bruce Ristow officiating. Burial will follow in Cissna Park Cemetery.
