Mona Lisa Perez, 40, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 4:10 P.M. Sunday August 31, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born August 19, 1985, in Houston, TX, the daughter of Roel and Irene (Guzman) Perez. She married Felix Cantu Sr. in 2015 in Hoopeston, IL. He survives in Hoopeston.

She is also survived by her son, Joseph Perez; one daughter, Ashley Cantu; one sister; and one brother.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Mona was a homemaker. She loved her two cats and boxer puppy, Molly. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her yard.

Cremation rites will be accorded, and no services will be held.
