Debra L. Burton, 68, of Wellington, IL, passed away at 1:05 A.M. Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka, IL. She was born August 16, 1957, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Robert and Edna (Fuller) Wardall. She married Arthur Jay Burton at the Hoopeston United Methodist Church. He survives.

She is also survived by one brother, Greg Wardall, and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Edna Wardall.

Debra worked as a CNA at the Hoopeston Hospital and then Knights Templar in Paxton. She later worked at Pizza King in Hoopeston for the Shipman family for 17 years, where she enjoyed visiting with her customers who were like family. She also loved draft horses and enjoyed tatting.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a graveside service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday October 31, 2025, at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Milford, with Pastor Brent Zastrow officiating.
