Robert Lee Heavener, Sr., 89, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 7:30 A.M. Thursday, November 27, 2025, at his home. He was born on November 19, 1936, in Chicago, IL, the son of Leroy and Edrie Ellen (Thompson) Heavener. He married Sandra Jean Whitney on January 21, 1961, at St. Susanna’s Church in Harvey, IL. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2019. 

Cremation rites will be accorded, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
