Ralph Edward Baker, 55, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 8:59 A.M. Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at his home. He was born on January 4, 1971, in Watseka, IL, the son of Leonard and Shirley (Miller) Baker. They preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, DeeDee Baker (Pete Kunce) of Hoopeston, IL and JoJo Bell of Hoopeston, IL; five sisters, Sharon (Donnie) Robinson, Shelley (Les) Garrett, Rhonda Baker, Delores (Greg) Cushman, and Julie Holt; five brothers, Danny Baker, Mark (Jennie) Baker, Brian (Beth) Baker, Bill Baker, and Jerry (Cindy) Baker; seven grandchildren, Ella Livingston, Peytan Cooper, Tanner Ray, Harmonee Griffin, Khi’Andre Crockett, Shaeley Kunce, and Sierra Kunce; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his lifelong partner, Della Bell; one sister, Vonna Robinson; and two brothers, Gary and Scott Baker.
Ralph worked as a forklift driver at Schumacher’s and later at Hoopeston Foods, where he was very prideful of his work. He enjoyed fishing, playing video games, sitting by the fire with his friends, and cruising with his grandkids on his moped. He also enjoyed listening to music, especially Ozzy Ozborne, watching TV shows and playing poker and pool.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and a celebration of life will be held 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the First Church of God, 1004 E. Orange St., Hoopeston, IL.
