Donna Jean Felstehausen, 83, of Aurora, IL, formerly of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 8:42 P.M. Thursday, February 5, 2026, at home. She was born October 9, 1942, in Wauseon, OH, the daughter of Lester and Leona (Thiele) Pew. She married Eugene “Gene” Felstehausen on June 28, 1980, at the Centennial Christian Church in Watseka, IL. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2018.
She is survived by her sister, Nancy Matthews of Aurora, IL; sisters-in-law, Virginia Pargmann and Connie Pew; nieces and nephews, Tonya (Jon) Henderson, Stephanie (Joe) Stralka, Robert (Allison) Matthew, Kevin Marcum, Terry Marcum, Keither (Anita) Marcum, Tracy (Michelle) Marcum, Jeannie Meyer, and Catherine Casey and many great nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Gene, Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Cyrus Marcum; two brothers, Donald Pew and Dorance Pew; one nephew, Joshua Marcum; and great-nephew, Dustin Marcum.
Donna worked at Howard Industries winding bobbins and armatures. She was a long-time member of the Hoopeston United Methodist Church where she was very active. She was also a charter member of the Hoopeston Women Making a Difference organization, volunteering her time to special events like the Queen’s Dinner during the National Sweetcorn Festival.
Visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with Joe Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery in Stockland, IL.
