Patrick John Griffin, 56, of Wellington, IL, passed away at 2:10 P.M. Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born April 12, 1969, in Danville, IL, the son of Patrick and Donna (Williamson) Griffin. They survive in Hoopeston, IL.
He is also survived by three daughters, Caitlynn Griffin of Henning, IL, Ashlynn Griffin of Champaign, IL, and Livia Griffin of Hoopeston, IL; two sons, Christopher Griffin of Oak Harbor, WA, and Tristin Griffin of Hoopeston, IL; his brother, Robert “Bob” Griffin of Hoopeston, IL; his soulmate, Jenn Mills; one nephew, Tyler Griffin; several aunts and uncles; and his dog, Kane.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Patrick worked as a mechanic and then did mill-rite work. He later worked at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Living, where he loved singing for the residents. He served in the United States Navy. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed working in his yard, going mushroom hunting, and thrift shopping. Patrick was always tinkering and staying busy as he enjoyed working on anything with a motor.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
