Patrick Fitzgerald Hardwick, 60, of Cheneyville, IL, passed away at 1:50 A.M. Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center. He was born on March 9, 1966, in Hoopeston, IL, the son of William and Alison (Houser) Hardwick. He married Flossie Barrett on June 14, 2013, in McCook, NE. She survives in Cheneyville.

He is also survived by his daughter, Brionna Hardwick (Alexander Diaz) of Hoopeston, IL; four sons, William (Alison) Hardwick of Milford, IL, Thomas Hardwick of Georgetown, IL, Jeffery (Jennifer) Blakey of Hammond, IN, and Victor Martinez of Hoopeston, IL; step-daughter, Julana Irvin of Anadarko, OK; sister, Mary Nelk (John Crose) of Hoopeston, IL; brother, Butch Houser of Hoopeston, IL; brothers-in-law, Bobbie Barrett (Lisa Sharp) of Westville, OK, Tracy Barrett of Levant, Kansas, and Kelly (Jennifer) Barrett of Trenton, NE; sisters-in-law, Julana (David) Carver of Almena, KS and Jackie (Pyrce) Cook of Kansas; ten grandchildren, Masion and Autumn Hardwick, Aryonna, Avery, and Anthony Hardwick, Serenity Blakey, Skyler Wakeland, and Aubrey, Emma, and Brison Searcy; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Florency and Charles Hardwick, Maggie Burton, and Joe Sam Hardwick; three brothers, Billy, Jimmy, and Benjamin; seven infant brothers; and his step-son, Robert Irvin.

Patrick worked at Stockland Grain until his retirement in 2019. He loved to fish, hunt, and work on mowers. He loved his family and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and sitting around smoking with his family.

Cremation rites will be accorded, and no services will be held.
