Charles A. “Charlie” Kentner, 74, of rural Rossville, IL, passed away at 6:25 A.M., Monday, September 21, 2026, at his home. He was born on June 29, 1952, in Danville, IL, the son of Clarence Lloyd and Nola Ellen (Wylder) Kentner. He married Shirley Jean Newman on June 11, 1976, in Martinsville, IL. She survives.

Visitation will be held 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, September 25, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Gundy Cemetery in rural Bismarck, IL.
