Carla Jean (Goble) Castro, 56, of La Mirada, CA, formerly of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 18, 2026. She was born on April 28, 1970, in Hoopeston, IL, the daughter of David Alan and Glenda Lynn (Starkey) Goble. She married Rene Castro on February 24, 2001, and he survives in La Mirada, CA.
She is also survived by her father, David Goble of Hoopeston, IL; one daughter, Isabella Castro; one sister, Mechelle Berlin of Hoopeston, IL; two brothers, Douglas (Susan) Goble of Rankin, IL and Andrew (Heidi) Goble of Rossville, IL; her paternal grandmother, Catherine Goble of Danville, IL; her maternal grandmother, Jean Starkey of Paxton, IL; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces whom she adored.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Glenda Goble; paternal grandfather, Ralph Goble; maternal grandfather, Floyd Starkey; and one great-niece, Willow Marie Hall.
Carla worked as an administrator for Kirkwood Christian Schools. She enjoyed reading and cherished the time she spent with her family.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and a Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at New Beginnings Church of Hoopeston, 204 E. Main St., Hoopeston, IL.
