Antonia “Toni” Boyd, 73, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 8:15 P.M. Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born on May 10, 1953, in Nuevo Progreso, Mexico, the daughter of Juan and Juanita (Castillo) Gonzalez. She married Michael Boyd on September 2, 1972, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hoopeston. He survives in Hoopeston.
She is also survived by her daughter, Tammy (Cory) Barton of Danville, IL; her son, Mark Boyd of Tilton, IL; three sisters, Stella (Bob) Holloman of Sebring, FL, Maria Gonzalez of Hoopeston, IL, and Lena (Kyle) Dietrich of Urbana, IL; four brothers, Joe, John, and Jesse Gonzalez all of Hoopeston, IL and Pete Gonzalez of Texas; four grandchildren, Cecilia, Nadia, and Malaina Boyd and Nevin Barton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Juanita Gonzalez; two sisters; and two brothers.
Toni worked as a waitress at Sirloin Stockade and later became the kitchen manager at Hometown Buffet in Champaign for several years until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Thursday November 12, 2026, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, at the funeral home with Pastor Micah Mobley officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
