Hoopeston Area traveled to St. Joe on Thursday and came up short by the score 1-0. The only goal came from St. Joe's Ryker Lockhart scored on a great shot just outside of the box. Owen Root had eight saves on the night including a save on a penalty kick to keep the score 1-0.

Hoopeston returned to action at home tonight after their first place finish at the Blue Ridge tournament on Saturday, facing a scrappy and determined team from Fisher. Behind ten kills from Kaitlynn Lange, four total blocks from Logan Watson, fifteen digs from Bre Crose and thirteen service receptions from Emmalee Bruens, the Cornjerkers (7-1) outlasted the Bunnies (3-4) 25-19, 14-25, 25-16. Hoopeston next plays Tuesday, facing St. Anne in a non-conference matchup at home.
