Hoopeston Police Department Report September 29-October 2, 2017

Traffic Accident H17-3947
Date & Time: September 28, 2017   10:42am
Location: 4th Ave & Maple
Unit 1: Unidentified, left scene
Damaged Property: Yield sign owned by City of Hoopeston
Details: A loud crash revealed that and unknown vehicle hit
the city owned yield sign on the street and kept
traveling westbound from the scene.
 
Driving While License Revoked, Operating Uninsured Vehicle H17-3977
Time: 2:32am
Location: 100 blk N 3rd St
Arrested: George Eleopoulos (61) Hoopeston male
Details: While on routine patrol, officers noticed Mr. Eleopoulos swerving all over the
road.  Officers preformed a traffic stop.  A computer check revealed that his 
driver’s license was revoked.  He was arrested, taken to HPD and processed.
He was later released after posting bond and he was given 2 traffic citations and
court date.
 
 
 
Driving While Suspended H17-3998
Date & Time: September 30, 2017  6:30
Location: Lincoln & 6th st
Arrested: Joshua E Lane (41) of Hoopeston
Details: During routine traffic stop a computer check on the driver
revealed his Illinois Driver’s License to be suspended.
He was released from the scene with a Notice to Appear in
Vermilion county court
 
Warrant Arrest H17-4000
Date & Time: September 30, 2017   6:40pm
Location: Lincoln & 6th st
Arrested: Rachel A Lane (29) of Potomac
Details: Subject was taken into custody on outstanding Ford County
warrant for Failure To Appear/Forgery.  She was unable to
post bond and was extradited to Ford County
 
Warrant Arrest, Possession of Controlled Substance H17-4023 V17-9609
Time: 8:18pm
Location: 7th St/McCracken Av
Arrested: Dale Simpson (28) Hoopeston male
Details: While on routine patrol, officers stopped the vehicle that Mr. Simpson was
a passenger in.  A computer check revealed that he had an outstanding Vermilion
County warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance.  Subject was arrested
and taken to HPD.  He was processed and later transported to the PSB in Danville
to await arraignment.
 
Traffic Accident H17-4034
Time: 3:15 pm
Location: 500 blk S. Third St. in the alleyway
Unit 1: 2008 Volkswagen 4D driven by a 17 yo Hoopeston female
Details: Unit 1 was traveling westbound in the alley when it struck a Frontier utility
pole. Unit 1 was insured. No tickets issued. No injuries reported.
