Hoopeston Police Department Report November 22-29

Methamphetamine Possession, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia H17-4939  V17-11092
Time: 12:40am
Location: 900 blk W Main St
Arrested: Joshua Kempen (28) Hoopeston male
Details: HPD officers performed a traffic stop on the vehicle that Mr. Kempen was
driving.  Upon investigation, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was
found in the vehicle.  He was arrested and taken to HPD.  He was processed and later transported to the PSB to await arraignment.
 
Methamphetamine Possession, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia H17-4941  V17-11103
Time: 01:54 AM 
Location: 500 blk E Wyman Avenue 
Arrested: Simonton, Jason K (39) (M) of Hoopeston 
Details: Hoopeston Police responded to a male subject who was threatening to harm himself.  While dealing with the subject, he was found and charged with the above offenses.  Subject was transported to Carle Hoopeston and treated and released.  He was transported to PSB Danville to await for a hearing before a judge.  
 
 
 
Credit/Debit Card was found at Caseys on Orange Street. If you are missing one, it
can be identified and claimed with proper ID at HPD

Date & Time: November 24, 2017   1:10pm
Location: Hoopeston Police Department
Arrested: Ramiro R. Lopez (32) of Hoopeston
Details: Warrant was served on subject at HPD. He was processed and
released after posting bond.
 
Fire Call
Time: 1:30am
Location: 700 blk E Penn
Details: HFD call called to the above location for a carbon monoxide detector that was
going off. 
 
Traffic Accident (property damage) H17-4995
Time: 2:09am
Location: 800 blk E Orange
Unit #1: 2003 Chevrolet S-10 driven by Dylan Robinson (19)(M) of Hoopeston
Unit #2: Mailbox owned by Flo Gooden
Traffic sign owned by Illinois Department of Transportation
Mailbox owned by Jamie Wetli
Details: While travelling eastbound on Orange St, Unit #1 left the roadway and struck
2 mailboxes and a traffic sign.  No injuries were reported.
 
Traffic Accident H17-4996
Date & Time: November 25, 2017   11:07am
Location: 8th ave & Young Street
Unit #1: 2014 ford fusion driven by Andrea Lutz (20) of Oakwood
Unit #2: 2011 Ford Flex driven by Destini Flint (23) of Hoopeston
Details: Unit 1 was traveling northbound on 8th avenue, turned west onto
Young street and collided with Unit 2 which was traveling westbound
on Young street.  No injuries or citation issued.  Both units drove
away from scene of accident
 
Case Solved Burglaries H17-4862      H17-5012     H17-4877      H17-4887
Date & Time: November 26, 2017  6:30pm
Locations: various
Arrested: Matthew R Langenfeld (20) of Hoopeston
Details:                  3 separate burglaries to churches and a trailer were solved.  Suspect was    
                               questioned and all cases were closed with an arrest.
 
 
Possession of Methamphetamines H17-5021
Date & Time: November 26, 2017    6:38pm
Location: 301 W Main Hoopeston Police Department
Arrested: Matthew R Langenfeld (20) of Hoopeston
Details: While in custody for another arrest, Charges were added
after a search located a baggie testing positive for
methamphatine.  He was later transported to PSB on
all charges.
 
Stolen Vehicle H17-5044
Date & Time: November 27, 2017 4:14 pm
Location: 500 blk N. Seventh Ave.
Complainant: 42 year old Hoopeston male
Details: Officers responded to the above in reference to the complainant advising his 1999 Ford F-250 had been stolen sometime in the last 14 hours.
 
 
Keys were found on 400 blk of E Seminary, and turned into HPD where owner may claim
 
Burglary; Theft of $500 H17-5049   H17-5050   V17-11285
Time: 6:13am
Location: 600 block of N Market
Arrested: Bryce McDaniel (18) Georgetown male
Julian Aguirre (19) Danville male
Reece Garrison (19) Henning male
Details: HPD responded to the above location in reference to two separate burglaries and the report of a stolen vehicle. The above subjects were located at a different location and the vehicle was recovered by an Indiana police department. The above subjects were taken to HPD where they were charged, processed and later transported to the PSB to await arraignment.

Location: 200 block of E Thompson
Complainant: (82) year old Hoopeston female
Details: HPD responded to the above when the complainant notice damage done to her home. An investigation continues. 
 
 
Burglary to Auto H17-5062
Time: 3:40pm
Location: 300 block E McCracken
Complainant: (17) year old Hoopeston male
Details: Complainant contacted HPD and advised unknown person(s) had entered his vehicle without his knowledge or permission and removed items. An investigation continues. 
 
Noisy Animal Prohibited (city ordinance) H17-5081
Time:    6:07pm
Location:    400 blk E Honeywell
Complainant:  63 year old Hoopeston male
Arrested:    Samantha Simpson (37) Hoopeston female
Details:    HPD officers responded to the above location for an ongoing problem with
   dogs barking.  Complainant was willing to sign city charges for Noisy Animals
   Prohibited.  Ms. Simpson was not at home at the time of complaint and was
   mailed her citation and court date.

Complainant:  59 year old Hoopeston female
Details:    Complainant contacted HPD in reference to unknown subject(s) damaged
   her vehicle while parked at the above location.  An investigation continues.
