Complainant: 28 year old Hoopeston Female 

Arrested: 17 Year old Hoopeston Juvenile Female 

Details: HPD was dispatched to the above location in reference to a battery that had just occurred. Arrestee was found and taken into custody and later transported to Juvenile Detention Center in Danville to appear before a judge.  

 

 

Traffic Accident (PD Only) H18-0658

Location: S 4th Street & E Penn Street 

Unit 1: 2007 Dodge Caravan, driven by Carly L Buckley (F) (30) of Hoopeston 

Unit 2: 2011 KIA Sorrento driven by Kellie M Sheppard (F) (41) of Hoopeston 

Details:    HPD was requested to an accident scene,   Unit 1 went to go north bound on 4th Street and did not see unit 2 which was west bound on Penn Street.  Unit 1 entered the intersection without stopping was hit by Unit 2.   Both Units Insured, No Injuries No citations, both units driven away from scene.   

 

Disobeying Police (City Ordinance) H18-0661

Time: 3:32 pm

Location: 900 blk E. Young

Arrested: Aura Nelson (40) of Hoopeston

Details: Officers responded to the above in reference to a possible domestic disturbance. Once on scene, the above subject refused to comply with officers. She was charged with the above and taken to HPD where she was processed and released with a city NTA. 

 

Fire Recuse Call

Time: 6:22 pm 

Location: 3850 N & State Route 1

Details: HFD, HPD, and Arrow Ambulance responded to report of a traffic accident with injuries and possible entrapment.   Vermilion County Sheriff Department handled the investigation.
