Details:       HFD responded to the above in reference to smoke showing on the porch.

 

Disobeying Police (city citation)                 H18-1162

Time:          7:43pm

Location:    800 blk E Young

Arrested:     Gerardo Torres (37) Hoopeston male

Details:       HPD officers were called to the above location on a possible domestic disturbance.

                   Mr. Torres refused to cooperate with officers and was arrested on city ordinance violation of Disobeying Police.  He was taken to HPD, processed and later released with a city citation and city court date.

 

Theft (Retail)                 H18-1172

Time:          11:38 AM

Location:    415 S Dixie Highway, Dollar General Store

Arrested:     Julie A Mullen (F) (47) of Hoopeston

Details:       At the above time, Dollar General contacted HPD reference to a theft that had just occurred from the store.  Suspect vehicle information was provided, and it returned to Hoopeston.  Officer responded to the store to view evidence, while he was there the suspect came to HPD to surrender herself on the above charge.   Court Date was set for Hoopeston City Court.  Notice to Appear issued and subject was released from custody.  Court April 5^th 2018,

 

 

Driving While Licenses Revoked               H18-1174

Time:                    12:38 pm

Location:              500 block W Elm Street

Arrested:              Hofer, Matthew M (M) (34) of Hoopeston

Details:       At the above time the arrestee was transported to HPD and processed on the above charge.  He was caught driving.  Subject was issued a citation and court date for Vermilion County Court. 

 

Driving While License Suspended, Obstructing Justice

Time:          10:57pm

Location:    400 blk E Honeywell

Arrested:     Aaron Cannon (26) Hoopeston male

Details:       HPD officers stopped the vehicle that Mr. Cannon was driving for a traffic violation.  A computer check revealed that he had a suspended driver’s license.

                   Subject was arrested for DWLS and obstruction for trying to destroy evidence.

                   He was taken to HPD, processed and later transported to the PSB in Danville to await arraignment.

 

Theft of Gasoline           H18-1198

Time:          4:37pm

Location:    Casey’s General Store 1022 W Penn Street

Details:       At the above time it was reported a light blue pickup truck

                   pumped approximately $57.00 of gas and left without paying.

 

Driving While License Revoked                          H18-1202

Time:          11:24pm

Location:    Market/Washington

Arrested:     Brandi Warner (28) Wellington female

Details:       HPD stopped the vehicle that Ms. Warner was driving for a traffic violation.

                   A computer check revealed that she had a revoked driver’s license.  She was

                   arrested and taken to HPD to be processed. She was later released after paying bond and given a traffic citation and court date.
