Details:       HPD and HFD were dispatched to a fire alarm and smoke on 2^nd floor an investigation lead to the discovery of burnt food.

 

Criminal Damage to Property          H18-2434

Time:               2:24 pm

Location:         400 blk E Seminary  

Complainant:   42 year old Hoopeston male

Details:            HPD officers were called out for the report of criminal damage.  An investigation showed that the glass had been broken out of the door to the back porch.  Nothing is believed to be missing from the residence.

 

 

Traffic Accident                      H18-2446

Time:          10:06pm

Location:    N 4^th St/Thompson Ave

Unit #1:       2001 Ford F150 driven by Shenoa Webb (26) (F) of Hoopeston

Unit #2:       2015 Hyundai owned by Sandra Williams (50) (F) of Hoopeston

Details:        Driver of Unit #1 backed out of a driveway and struck Unit #2 which was

                         parked and unoccupied. No injuries reported, no tickets issued and both vehicles

                     were insured.     

 

Driving While License Suspended             H18-2448

Time:          10:28pm

Location:    100 blk N 4^th St

Arrested:     Lucas Hollen (38) Paxton male

Details:       HPD officers performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Mr. Hollen was driving

                   after he was noticed driving erratically. A computer check revealed that he

                   had a suspended driver’s license.  He was arrested, taken to HPD and processed.

                   He was later released on a notice to appear in traffic court.

Location:    McFerren Park playground

Details:       While on patrol, HPD officers found damage to the Ronald McDonald

                   statue at the playground.  An investigation continues.

 

Driving While License Suspended             H18-2463

Location:    Elm/S Dixie Hwy

Arrested:     Eric Maples (36) Hoopeston male

Details:       While on patrol, HPD officers performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Mr. Maples

                   was driving on a traffic infraction.  A computer check revealed that he had a

                   suspended driver’s license.  Subject was arrested, taken to HPD and processed. 

                   He was later released with a notice to appear in traffic court.

 

Burglary to Residence   (ARREST MADE)        H18-1511    V18-4019

Time:             1:45am

Location:       400 blk N 6^th St

Complainant:  41 year old Hoopeston male

Details:          Complainant contacted HPD after noticing that several items including a                                    dirt bike was missing from the garage.  An investigation continues.

Arrest:        Maples, Eric A (M) of Hoopeston

Details:       Arrested subject was taken to PSB Danville on charge of Possession of Stolen Property.    Await appearance before a judge.

Arrested:     Eric A Maples (M) (26) of Hoopeston

Details:        The arrestee did without permission and knowledge of the complainant make an illegal hook up of a Utility.    Subject was located and issued Notice to Appear in Hoopeston City Court. 

 

 

Wanted on Warrant – Vermilion County 2017CM0280        H18-2466

Location:    McFerren Park

Arrested:     William Rossolille (19) of Rankin

Details:       Officers called out with the above subject at McFerren Park. A computer check revealed the subject had an outstanding warrant through Vermilion County. The subject was transported to HPD where he was processed and later released with a court date after posting bond.
